Construction Project Superintendent

Superintendent:
Construction Superintendents oversee and manage the logistical aspects of construction projects. They ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards. Responsibilities include coordinating schedules, managing subcontractors, daily logs, RFI’s and maintaining communication with management.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations at the project construction site with Project Manager oversight.
- Attend Pre-Construction meeting with Team assigned to the Project.
- Coordinate all project startup mobilization (temp power/water, dumpsters, porta-lets, etc.) with Project Coordinator.
- Coordinate installation of company signage on all projects - banner or sign.
- Follows construction drawings and approved plans.
- Review all submittals, confirm accuracy and acceptance.
- Work with Coordinator and PM to issue and track RFI’s.
- Assist PM with preparing project schedules in project management software.
- Manage the team of subcontractors and labor crews.
- Create schedules for workers and subcontractors.
- Manage work schedules, project progress and two week look ahead.
- Work with Coordinator on plan revisions and repricing as required on project.
- Work with Coordinator on change orders for both subcontractors and owners.
- Set up and monitor all job-related resources (rental equipment and temp. labor)
- Assist Coordinator and PM with all job-related tasks.
- Maintain packing slips, owner manuals, warranty information and close out documents.
- Attend meetings as needed for projects.
- Work with Coordinator to document safety protocol and OSHA requirements.
- Report project related incidents immediately.
- Schedule inspections as needed and be present for all inspections, including subcontractor inspections.
- Get approval and document all direct purchase items with Coordinator or PM.
- Attend weekly Team Meetings with prepared project updates and two week look ahead.
- Use Red Team construction management software, maintain detailed daily logs with pictures.
- Assist the Team with various items as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of jobsite upheld to Tampa Constructors Standards.
